Its a good idea . But why not give one point to all who answer to the thread.In many instances although an effort is made to answer a question , points are not given. This way , a person who posts 10 questions gets 10 points but the person who answers doesnt get anything ?

Hard to find the exact "best" formula to deter gaming and encourage supportive behavior. Let's give this system a chance before we immediately jump to the "buts" of your question. Many folks are concerned about crowding the forums with unnecessary replies just to garner points.
