Thanks for sharing this. Although you mentioned that interfacing is not in scope of this post, it would be interesting to know now how you integrate MDM with SAP BW to get this hierarchy and its later changes into the BW system (may be a separate blog?).

    You can use ABAP MDM APIs to create a Data Source Z and get this information.
