First Version of ABAPDoc2 Model
Sometime ago I published here in the SCN Weblogs the ABAP101 Projects to aim juniors ABAP developers get some experience through open source projects. In summary, we "hire" ABAP newbies to work in the open source projects with our coaching.
The project chosen was ABAPDoc and we called our project as ABAPDoc2. The first goal of this project is to refactory the original code to able next level of improvements, like templates, XML (SAPLink), Web Dynpro etc. To able those future improvements, we will follow MVC framework and the text here I will explain the ABAPDoc2 Model.

WebClient UI Export to Spreadsheet with abap2xlsx
To celebrate the 200th member of the abap2xlsx project I release this new development which replaces the standard WebClient UI (mainly used in SAP CRM) functionality "Export to Spreadsheet" with an implementation using abap2xlsx. So no more CSV or XML format hassle. The .XLSX file is created on the server and can be downloaded in all Browsers supported by the WebClient UI Framework.

Pep Up Your ChaRM - Part 5: Save Our Souls With a Rescue Action
ABAP developers which cannot create or release transport requests behave somehow like truck drivers with heavily tattooed arms who are getting impatient when the loading of their lorry halts.
This happens for example in the ChaRM when the maintenance cycle is locked. But implementing a really nice idea of Woody Wu from the SAP Solution Manager Development Support will help to get out of a tight spot.
This is also a good example for a PPF action scheduled via BAdI and we show how to extract the original message variables from a message.

Innovation Weekend goes SAP InnoJam
After the great success of the Innovation Weekends at SAP TechEd 2010 in Berlin and Las Vegas we are now adopting the Innovation Weekend format and scaling it for the future. This also includes a change of the name to SAP InnoJam. Read in this blog what the plans for SAP InnoJam in 2011 are.

Will Code Exchange Fail Because of You?
SAP's Code Exchange program is a great tool to collaborate and produce innovative and useful applications. The major downfall is that it's not easy to understand what most projects are about, how you can contribute, or how to use the code provided. Who's fault is this, and how do we overcome it?
