Linear Asset Management within Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) ECC 6.0 EhP 5
Customers need to have a more flexible way to manage roads, power lines, cables, etc. other than using the Functional Location technical object. However, functional location cant completely satisfy the requirements and doesnt offer the flexibilities which required managing this type of objects. Linear Asset Management enables a company to describe, display, and manages linear assets such as pipelines, roads, railway tracks, power lines and cables.

Going Paperless with SAP Production Orders
With more and more manufacturing plants using PCs on the shop floor, the need to print paperwork for shop floor orders has decreased. As of SCM6.0 EHP 3, production order information can now be viewed and processed using process integration. Process integration is made possible with the use of XSTEPs. This functionality was always available for process orders but is now available for production orders. Brent Bower, Senior Education Consultant in the North America SAP Education Delivery Organization, explains how to go paperless with SAP Production Orders.
