This year the Sibos conference stops in Vienna. Organizer of this strategic banking conference is SWIFT. SWIFT provides services for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication. Using this platform the financial world conducts its business operations with speed, certainty and confidence. Customers of Swift are over 8,300 banking organisations, securities institutions and corporate customers in more than 208 countries. Besides of the platform, Swift acts as the catalyst that brings the financial community together to work collaboratively to shape market practice, define standards and consider solutions to issues of mutual interest.

This year in Vienna, Sibos will reflect on the implications and consider the opportunities of the fast-changing landscape within Financial Services. Details are listed on the event home-page.

SWIFT is a strategic partner of SAP and member of BIAN, Banking Industry Architecture Network (The successor of the Industry Value Network for Banks ).

For the last several years, SAP Banking was presents at Sibos with presentations and an exhibition booth. This year SAP's focus will be around:

Marie-Laure Le Magueresse, Johan Kestens, Stefano Lindt and Karsten Egetoft are at the booth and in the SAP presentations. We intend to report on our impressions of the event and the feedback we receive from attendees.

Check with our contact to meet experts and SAP executives on:

  • High volume, straight-through payment processing
  • Business intelligence platform and bankers' decision dashboards
  • Corporate banking services including corporate connectivity and trade services operational risk management

In parallel to our presence at Sibos, we launch a number of press releases. The first is on a SAP commissioned survey on the Future of Banking, highlighted in a separated bpx-contribution, the second announcement reports on Deutsche Postbank using SAP payment engine.

Stay tuned for the next contributions.

Kind regards Paul
