A new version of the SAP Business One Test Environment Tools has been published in SDN. This new version mainly improves the usage of some tools and provides some fixes.

In this blog we give you an overview of the main changes and fixes of the 2.3 version:

  • Added Microsoft SQL Templates for Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
  • Improved DILogsReader tool in order to be able to open DI Logs files with some invalid xml characters.
  • Improved the DBProfiler and .NETProfiler testing applications allowing the automatic connection to the current SAP Business One running in the machine and also giving the possibility to connect to the DI API when the database server is Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

We will like to use this Weblog as a way to receive and share your feedback about the Business One Test Environment.

  • B1 DB Profiler is not working with Vista?

    Hi, I am trying to use B1 DB Profiler for certification. I have also copied the SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice.txt to the SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice Store Procedure. I start the DB Profiler and click on the T button to test. A message telling me that test run has been performed, but I can't see any lines in the Profiler.


    What could be wrong? Anything else that I need to setup? I am running SAP B1 2007B PL10, SQL Server 2005, and B1TE version 2.3


    Any ideas?

      Hi,


      Can you please try to add/update a BP in B1 application for example? (having the code in the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification you should be able to see from B1 app if there is an error message).
      If the error message is related to "SQL Server blocked access to procedure 'sys.sp_OACreate' of component 'Ole Automation Procedures'" please check section "Enable Ole Automation Procedures using sp_configure" in page http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/delete-file-from-sql-server-xp-cmdshell-ole-automation-procedures.aspx#

      Hi Harianto,


      Can you just try to copy the code into SBO_SP_TransactionNotification instead? This way you will be able to see if there is an error message when calling the stored procedure. To test afterwards please use B1 to add/update an object (BP for example) and you will see if there is an error message.

      Hi Satish,
      I have just tried to download the latest version for B1 2007 and I have no problems, can you please retry?
      It comes first to a page where you need to select if you want to download the setup or the source code. Afterwards it comes to a page where you need to select "View this tool".

  • B1DB Profiler issues

    The DB Profile doesn't show any messages, and keeps on telling me to update the SBO_SP_PostTransactionNotice stored procedure, which I already did.
    The reason the SP was not executing was because by default SQL Server 2005 doesn't have OLE Automation Procedure enabled, hence it was failing. Despite successful execution of that SP,
    I am still getting error in B1TETest.exe, and don't have source code for that.
    Would you let me know where is the source code for B1TETest.exe. Unfortunately in Vista 64 bit I have explicitly force building of all executables in 32 bit mode else they default to 64 bit and fail. Please let me know the source code location of B1TETest.exe, I have already rebuilt B1DbProfilerCOM.dll using C++.
