Twitter at SAP TechEd 2009

SAP TechEd 2009 Phoenix is just days away, and we're racing down the final stretch on preparations to make it a great event for all attendees.
We're really excited to engage with the community, and this year, we're adding a new dimension through some great Twitter integration throughout the entire conference.
Some of you may have seen our live video streaming event last month with keynote speakers Vishal Sikka and Ray Kurzweil, which was the first time SAP combined live streaming video next to the event Twitter feed for real-time comments and questions. We had 600 attending with over 350 Twitter comments and questions -- some of which Ray and Vishal answered on the spot.
We'll be doing more of that (live video + Twitter) for the SAP TechEd keynote presentation, the Demo Jam on Tuesday night, and then we'll have live video interviews of SAP experts at the top of the hour every day from the clubhouse. (We'll publish the schedule with speakers and topics later this week. Check back later at www.SAPTechEd.com/Live)
If you're onsite (is anyone really not going to be there?), we'll have a bunch of ways to follow the Twitter discussion, like we've put Twitter screensavers (showing the #SAPTechEd09 stream) on all the TechEd laptops plus plasma screens throughout the show floor. That is great news Chip! Lately we've all be finding out how useful Twitter is - whether it's work or non-work related. With all the excitement of #sapteched09 - it'll be great to capture the twitstream without constantly reaching for a device.

Agree Susan! Thanks for the comment. Twitter will be an interesting addition to the event this year. Between the tweet streams everywhere and the live streaming video of expert interviews, we're pretty busy and looking forward to the fun and buzz this will bring to TechEd this year. The team is energized and ready to go!

This is really great...a lot of my folks are going to able to make it to TechEd...and by having Twitter as a source of information they're going to get connected even in the distance...great move!
