Recently I was talking with one of our super community guys (Jason Lax) who manages the content on SCN.  He told me that the elearning "Building a workflow from scratch" had the most downloads for 2009 - super!   I've received several suggestions that we should do more.    That really is a great idea!

In this elearning you will take the workflow you created and add a start condition to the workflow.   Start conditions can be very helpful, they help you determine when a workflow should start.  In the first example, we started a workflow everytime a material was created.  But, what if you only want to start a workflow if the material is a hazardous material, or if the material weighs over a certain amount, or if the material is in a certain material group?   In this 8 minute elearning session, we will add a start condition to only start the workflow if the material group is a certain value.

I noticed a comment for adding new elearnings for extending the workflow business objects.  I will do that one soon - unless one of you beats me to it!  If you do, please post the link on this blog!

So - happy workflowing!  And don't forget to buy the book!

Note:  All updates to the workflow book are on the Workflow FAQ Wiki in the Further Resources section.
