Hello community!

My name is Moshe Naveh and I am from Israel. I recently joined the SCN Collaboration team. Over the years I have worked with different aspects of internet marketing, Web 2.0 and content management. Being a member of this team is a great opportunity to continue doing what I enjoy the most.

Thanks to the contributions of the community the wiki has grown a lot. In the last few weeks we have been performing many upgrades that improved the navigation experience in the wiki. Moreover, we have created a page which contains explanations and links to all available macros on the SCN wiki.

A macro is a special plug-in that allows you to embed videos & RSS feeds, create special tables and etc. Installing a macro is very easy: all you have to do is copy & paste in the right place.

For example:

When creating a table of links and descriptions you may consider using The "Excerpt-Include" macro .This macro allows you to display a description of a link directly from the page you are linking to.

How do you use the "Excerpt-Include" macro?

(A).  First, you'll need to go to the edit tab of the page which the text is taken from.

(B).
Enclose the desirable text with the "excerpt-include" macro tags.

Example:

{excerpt}

Articles represent a variety of SAP related documentation available for online and offline review. Beyond articles and presentations, you'll also find whitepapers, how-to guides, case studies, best practices, transcriptions and more.

{excerpt}

(C).  Go to the edit tab of the page where the table is located at. Add the "Excerpt-Include" macro tags in the part you want the text to be displayed in.

Example (the rich text version) :

After clicking save, you'll see the text being displayed in the table:

The macros are very useful and will assist you while contributing to the community.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me through the comments section in this blog.
