SAP announced the launch of SAP NetWeaver® Gateway technology and you will be able to nominate yourself for Ramp-Up  for SAP NetWeaver Gateway 2.0 using our Ramp Up Online Questionnaire (SMP user required).

In addition we are offering you the opportunity to get involved at an early stage within the development project of the next version of SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

You will get the opportunity to learn about the latest developments of SAP NetWeaver Gateway. With your feedback you will be able to influence the innovations of our planned products and solutions. If you are interested you can now register for the customer engagement initiative "Enabling the consumption of SAP Business Suite through SAP NetWeaver Gateway" that is planned to start in June using the following registration page for Customer Engagement Initiative.

We will start with an initial call on June 26th. Here we will present you what will be required for participation and we will outline what kind of feedback we would ask from you if you would decide to join this initiative for future discussions.

    Hi Andre,
first of all, I am curious about how Gateway is different to Composition Environment.
Will it replace it, will it enhance it or ...?
Anyway, the project sounds very interesting and I would like to get involved too.
    Best regards
    Julian

SAP NetWeaver BPM helps model, execute, and monitor business processes based on a common process model. It supports both Business Process execution as well as user interactions which are part of that process. SAP NetWeaver Gateway is focused on surfacing selected parts of business processes for user interaction. Its purpose is to enable low complexity user facing applications that run on any device or in any environment.
It is not planned as a replacement.

    Hello Andre

I have seen the announcements and the purpose of the SAP Netweaver gateway and we (my colleagues and me) are looking into an appropriate topic to try out the customer engagement initiative. Would SAP Netweaver gateway be a suitable topic for a SAP system administrator to join in?

I would think there will be functionality to monitor to gateway connections to view the connected mobile devices and logging and tracing? To what extent is that already the case and will such things be included in the CEI?

    Kind regards

    Tom

      Hi Tom,

there will functionality to monitor Gateway that will also allow for logging and tracing.
The scope of the CEI is not limited to a certain topic and we are interested in any feedback.

      Best Regards,
      Andre
