This blog will provide you the consolidated and updated operational information for IWay PI Adapters.

All IWAY adapters (new releases, patches, bug fixes) can be dowloaded from a new location on SMP with the new naming convention of the download files. All contents of the download zip files are same and will have no impact on existing/new installations. Old files from the location "Installation and Upgrades" are moved to a new location.

New Location  to download IWay adapters:

service.sap.com/swdc -> Support packages and Patches -> Browse our download catalog -> Adapters -> IWAY -> Here you choose which adapters you wish to download

It is always recommended to download the latest IWAY version/Patch level available at SMP corresponding to PI release and SP level. Also, it is recommended to install the latest Support Package available at SMP for SAP NetWeaver PI. Following SAP Notes are advised to be read before downloading the adapters:  

• 1546478   : Supported PI releases and SPs. Correlation between different IWAY versions and SAP NetWeaver PI Support Packages
• 858366    : Release Notes for different IWAY adapters versions
• 1576118  : SMP Download location for IWAY Adapters  

Customers can search all other SAP Notes related to IWay Adapters by using “XX-PART-IWAY” search term in “Application Area” of SAP Notes Search

• 1576443 : Lists all important IWAY adapters related  notes

General Information*

Currently, there are 7 IWay adapters available for SAP NetWeaver PI >=7.1x releases. Updates, release notes and other latest information for these adapters can be found indside the bundled documentation along with the solutions and via relevant SAP Notes.

For PI 7.1x, and PI 7.3x, available iWay Adapters (5.5x, 6.0x) include Adapters for:
CICS, IMS/TM, JD Edwards Enterprise One, JDE World, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, and Siebel.

For NW XI 3.0 and PI 7.0x, available iWay Adapters (5.5x) include Adapters for:
AS/1, AS/2, Baan, CICS, Corba, IMS/TM, JD Edwards Enterprise One, JDE World, MFGPRO, Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, Siebel, SWIFT, Telnet 3270, Telnet 5250, Tibco, Transora, and UCCnet.

Syntax: <adaptername><ReleaseVersion>P_<PatchLevel>

Example: IWAYCICS55P_14 is for IWay CICS Adapter version 5.5.14
