Just browse to http://maxdb.sap.com/training/.
There you'll find a list of PDF files that contain the latest english version of the slides used in the SAP Course "WB550 Workshop: MaxDB Internals" (the course can be booked via the SAP Service Marketplace https://service.education.sap.com/).

On the MaxDB-site there are also some presentations about MaxDB/liveCache Administration, so make sure you check if there are some helpful information for you.

As these are just the presentation slides I still would recommend to attend the classroom courses. The explanations of the trainer usually lighten up some rather complex theoretical background concepts and take them a bit more into the real life.

In any case, you shouldn't miss the other documentation/information that are already available for some time:

What's also worth noting is that recently the new licence for the MaxDB Community Edition has been release (available here). This should clarify many open questions about the MaxDB/OpenSource approach.
