HCM Processes & Forms: Pest Control 101 (debugging)
When a HCM Processes & Forms process is working, it's a full orchestra making beautiful music. When it is not working, it's like watching a 12 car pile up and determining who was to blame...or worse yet, what little valve, gasket, hose, plug, or bearing in which part of which car caused the wreck. The purpose of this blog is to help provide pointers to more quickly sort through the "wreckage" and find our culprit. In a nutshell, this is debugging 101 for HCM P&F.

HCM Processes & Forms: User Exits, Dynamic Actions & Change Pointers.....Please check your expectations at the door!
I have yet to be on a project, talk to a client or prospective client, or hear about other projects where at least one person was not under some kind of assumption that HCM Processes and Forms simply worked "just like regular HR" especially in regards to user exits, dynamic actions, change pointers, and the like. Please check those expectations at the door!

HCM Processes & Forms: You spin me right round, Baby, right round, like a record, Baby, right round, round-round
What better way to start a blog than with a "cheesy" 80's song? (1985 by Dead or Alive) But it fits right in with this "cheesy" little problem that often stumps HCM Processes and Forms developers.....the never ending spinning wheel!

Part 6: Enterprise BPM Framework; BPM within SAP projects
Many SAP project managers are struggling with the question whether they should integrate BPM within their SAP projects. For them the ROI of BPM for their project is not obvious. The Enterprise BPM framework, as introduced in my previous blogs, provides an overview of the utilization of BPM within SAP projects. The decision whether BPM should be incorporated within the SAP projects should also be taken by the stakeholders who are responsible for the TCO of the SAP environment.

Web 2.0 for security with citizens and Government
Communications is critical in emergency management and contingency planning. The 2009 Inauguration represents a major event where dozens of agencies with different missions will be observing and providing status and incident reports. Voice and data communications must work, but, eliminating clutter and focusing on the most critical reports is key to security.

Tokenization as a means of securing credit card numbers
Securing payment card numbers is essential in order to maintain compliance with the PCI DSS standards. Native payment card number encryption functionality in most of SAP's products. However, tokenization can provide an additional level of security of payment card numbers, help diminish PCI DSS scope on SAP's applications and even remove payment card numbers from your SAP application databases completely.

Part 3: Enterprise BPM Framework : BPM projects & BPM platform
Companies start many independent projects (e.g. Balanced Score Cards, Corporate Process Model, Six Sigma) with limited BPM alignment. The BPM framework, introduced at the previous blog, can help you in creating an aligned BPM project portfolio. The BPM framework can also help you to define a BPM platform in which BPM deliverables of the different projects can be reused within other projects
